Polyphenolics to brief SupplySide West 2012 attendees on significant advances in grape seed polyphenol extracts

Four-member expert panel will reveal the latest research and how grape seed extract is being used in clinical practice to help manage heart disease and diabetes

Cardiovascular disease and diabetes continue to take their toll on our healthcare system. Clearly, current protocols aren’t working effectively. We need to focus on more than just cholesterol and weight management. Polyphenolics will present exciting news about grape seed extract’s emerging role in managing these health issues during this year’s SupplySide West, November 5-9, at The Venetian and Sands Hotel in Las Vegas.

During this presentation, Beyond Antioxidants: A New Generation of Grape Seed Polyphenol Extracts, attendees will discover how leading physicians are incorporating this non-drug product into patients’ healthcare regimens. This expert panel will also discuss breakthrough UC Davis research, labeling language for product formulations, and how these ingredients may help you expand your heart-health and pre-diabetic product lines.

The presentation will take place Wednesday, November 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. in the Education Room. Participating in the panel will be:
• Anil Shrikhande, Ph.D. – president, Polyphenolics.
• C. Tissa Kappagoda, M.D. – professor, director Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, UC Davis
• Britt Burton-Freeman, Ph.D., M.S. – director of Nutrition, CNR, IFSH, IIT-Chicago
• Cathleen London, M.D., P.C. – board certified family medicine physician.
