Polyphenolics Announces Additions to Product Line

Along with introducing a new and improved grape seed extract process, Polyphenolics has also announced several new grape seed extract and grape extract products.

MegaNatural® Gold Grape Seed Extract

Polyphenolics' new flagship MegaNatural® grape seed extract guarantees a minimum 90% phenols and a standardized composition of monomers, oligomers and polymers. MegaNatural Gold is available in powder form for capsules and in granulate form for tablets.

MegaNatural® GSKE Grape Pomace Extract (formerly grape skin)

GSKE is a new product offering for Polyphenolics. This product is made from grape skins, seeds and stems and can be classified as a grape extract or grape skin extract. The extraction process is the same as described under our "Gold Standard Process." GSKE has a minimum of 80% phenols and a minimum of 1.5% anthocyanins. This product is higher in total phenols and antioxidant capacity than most other grape seed extracts. Also, it has a monomer, oligimer and polymer ratio very similar to MegaNatural Gold grape seed extract and an ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) value minimum of 16,000 per gram which, in this respect, is as good as our MegaNatural Gold grape seed extract product.

MegaNatural GSKE-40 Grape Pomace Extract

GSKE-40 grape extract is a new product which also utilizes grape skins, seeds and stems in its production. It is standardized at >40% phenols. In testing at University of Scranton in an IC50 in vitro study, this product performed as well as many quality grape seed extracts and significantly better than pine bark extract, green tea extracts, vitamin C, and tocopherol. IC50 measures the quality and quantity of antioxidants using human plasma. The product is in powder form and it does not contain any added SO2.

Nutraceutical Grade Grape Pomace Extract

Nutraceautical Grade Grape Extract is made from grape skins, seeds and stems and can be classified as a grape extract or a grape skin extract. This product has a minimum of 25% phenols and is as good as or better than most grape skin extracts in total phenols and antioxidant capacity. This product does not contain any SO2.

ACY Grape Extract and Red Wine Concentrate

Polyphenolics continues to offer ACY-Grape Extract and has introduced Red Wine Concentrate. ACY-Grape Extract is a combination of red wine concentrate, grape skin extract and grape seed extract. This product is standardized at > 40% polyphenols and > 5% anthocyanins. Like the GSKE-40, this product performed well in the IC50 test. It is made from 100% California wine grapes.

Red Wine Concentrate is produced from 100% California red wines. It is standardized at > 25% polyphenols and >8% anthocyanins and produced as a powder. This is not just a spray dried wine but a special wine high in anthocyanins that is controlled to minimize malolactic formation. The red wine is fermented, lactic acid controlled and alcohol is removed. A limited extraction is performed removing some sugars and proteins.
