Polyphenolics has introduced a new generation of Gold Standard Grape Seed Extract products manufactured using a new winery technology process that eliminates the use of harsh chemicals.

This advanced, environmentally friendly process uses water for seed extraction and natural, food grade alcohol to provide microbiological stability and purity during processing.

Many other grape extract producers use chemicals such as toluene and methylene chloride that may leave undesirable residues in the final product.

Polyphenolics has raised the bar for grape extract product manufacturing standards by combining the finest California wine grapes, product research from many leading universities, and new environmentally pure production methods.

To improve biological availability, the gold standard has been formulated with increased monomers and oligomers (OPCs) that now comprise more than 80% of the active components. Total phenol content consistently exceeds 90%. The consistency of product phenolic profile and purity result from selecting a red grape variety that has high monomeric and proanthocyanidin oligomers in the seeds. These seeds are selected from a juice processing operation, not from wine fermentation, to maintain its original and desired profile.

The MegaNatural® line of Polyphenolics' grape seed extract products is water-extracted and pesticide-free. MegaNatural is also known as a balanced design extract. It is a mixture of monomers and proanthocyanidin oligomers and polymers derived from the seed of the Vitis vinifera species of grape vine. The spectrum of monomers, oligomers and polymers found in MegaNatural make significant contributions to its wide range of benefits. In vivo research has shown that mixtures of antioxidants give a wider range of protection against free radical damage than do single compounds¹.
